What it does

The Sudoku that teaches you to solve

Fill every row, column and box with 1 to 9. Ninebloom shows you how the experts do it, one named technique at a time.

Hints that teach

Every hint names the move, and shows why.

Naked single, pointing pair, X-Wing, Swordfish and more. A hint highlights the cells that matter and says in plain words why the digit goes there. Let Ninebloom place it, or close the hint and place it yourself.

  • Unlimited and free. No coins, and no video to watch for a hint
  • Learn walks through 12 techniques, from the simplest up
  • Every puzzle is checked to have exactly one solution

Read the technique guides → From hidden singles to the X-Wing, with real positions you can play.

A puzzle a day

A daily puzzle, and a garden that grows.

A new daily puzzle, the same for everyone, and a weekly challenge to set a personal best. Every puzzle you solve grows a plant in your bloom garden. Harder puzzles grow showier ones.

  • Streaks that forgive: streak freezes cover a missed day
  • Played in order (#1, #2, …), so you always know how far you have come
  • Badges for clean sheets, streaks and harder levels

Questions

Good to know

When can I get it?

Ninebloom is out now on Google Play for Android phones and tablets. An iPhone and iPad version for the App Store is on the way.

Is it free?

Yes. Every classic puzzle at every level, the daily puzzle and unlimited hints are free for good. Ninebloom Plus is optional and adds monthly packs, every way to play and more.

Are there ads?

Only if you choose one. Free players can watch an optional short video for a small bonus, like a streak freeze. Nothing free waits behind an ad, and Plus members never see one.

What makes the levels different?

Each puzzle is rated by the techniques it needs to solve, not by how many digits are given. Beginner needs only naked singles, each level adds a technique, and Fiendish goes beyond all of them. Hints still explain advanced moves like the Swordfish and XY-Wing.

Do I need an account or an internet connection?

No account is needed, and it works fully offline. Your puzzles, progress and settings stay on your device.

Can I play a puzzle from a newspaper?

Yes. Type it in and play it with all the same tools and hints. With Plus you can also scan it from a photo; the photo is read on your device and never uploaded.

Can I print Ninebloom puzzles?

Yes, as printable books. Ninebloom Sudoku books at Little Page Shop, our shop of printable puzzle books, are made with the app’s own puzzle generator: 120 fresh puzzles a book with the answers, from Beginner to Fiendish, plus Killer, Jigsaw, Diagonal and Mini 6×6, in US Letter and A4. Try the free sampler first.
