Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 October 2026 (ads and scanner details)

The short version. Ninebloom needs no account, has no servers of its own, and works offline. Your puzzles, progress and settings live on your device, and a photo you scan is read on the device too. A little can leave it: purchase information if you buy Ninebloom Plus, data Google’s ad service receives on free play, and anonymous technical statistics from the scanner. None of it includes your name, email or your puzzles.

This policy covers Ninebloom, a Sudoku app published by Leafy Orb. It sits alongside the LeafyOrb Privacy Policy; where the two differ for this app, this page governs.

1. Who we are

Ninebloom is published by Leafy Orb, 937/2, Maruthupandiar Street, Thasilthar Nagar, Madurai, Tamil Nadu 625020, India.

2. What stays on your device

The puzzles you have played and finished, the one you are part-way through, your times, streak, badges and bloom garden, puzzles you imported or scanned, and your settings are stored on the device, in the app’s own storage. They are not sent to us.

They may be included in your device’s own backup to Google or Apple, if you have that turned on; that backup is under your control, not ours. You can also save a backup code of your own from Settings. Deleting the app deletes everything it stored.

3. What leaves your device

Purchases, only if you make one. Ninebloom Plus is offered as a yearly subscription (with a free trial) or a one-time lifetime purchase. Payment is handled by Google Play or the App Store; we never see your card or account details. To confirm and restore Plus, the app uses RevenueCat. It receives a random identifier the app creates (not your name or email), the purchase receipt, and basic technical details such as app version, platform and the store’s country. RevenueCat’s handling of this is described in its privacy policy. You manage or cancel a subscription in your Google Play or App Store account.

Optional video ads. Nothing in Ninebloom’s free game waits behind an ad. For free players the app starts Google AdMob, which can show a short video if you choose to watch one for a small bonus. Google receives your IP address (from which an approximate location can be worked out), your device’s advertising identifier and app-set identifier, how the app and ads are used, and diagnostic information, to deliver and measure ads and to prevent fraud. We ask for ads to be non-personalized, so they are not chosen from a profile of you. You can reset or delete your advertising identifier at any time in your device’s Google settings (Settings, Google, Ads). In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Google first shows a consent form. If you have Ninebloom Plus, the app never contacts Google for ads. Google’s use of data is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Shared puzzles. If you share a puzzle, the app opens your device’s share sheet with a short code that describes the puzzle. Nothing is sent unless you send it, and it goes only to the people you choose.

Photo scan statistics. The scanner uses Google ML Kit, which reads the photo on your device. The photo itself never leaves it. ML Kit sends Google anonymous technical statistics about the scanner: device model and Android version, app version, a random per-installation identifier, timings and error codes, used for diagnostics and to improve the feature. See ML Kit’s data disclosure.

Nothing else leaves your device: no analytics of our own, no crash reporting and no account. If we ever add anything beyond this, this page changes first and the app will say so before the release that does it.

4. Permissions

Camera and photos, only when you scan a puzzle from a photo. The picture is read on your device to find the digits, then discarded; it is never uploaded or kept. Notifications, only if you turn on the daily reminder, which your device schedules itself: there is no push server and nothing about it reaches us. Printing a puzzle book uses your device’s own print dialog. The app uses the network only for purchases, ads for free players and the scanner statistics above.

5. Children

Ninebloom is made for a general audience aged 13 and over and is not directed to children. It has no chat, no accounts and no public content.

6. Your choices and deleting your data

You can turn reminders, sounds, music and haptics off in Settings or in your device’s settings, and you never have to watch an ad. Everything Ninebloom keeps is on your device, so deleting the app deletes it permanently.

If you made a purchase, RevenueCat holds the record of it against the random identifier so it can be restored. To have that record deleted, email support@leafyorb.com with “deletion” in the subject and the order number from your store receipt. Records the law requires for tax and accounting are kept for as long as it requires, and are not linked to your name.

7. Contact

The Ninebloom Terms of Use cover purchases and fair use. Questions about any of this: support@leafyorb.com, or write to Leafy Orb, 937/2, Maruthupandiar Street, Thasilthar Nagar, Madurai, Tamil Nadu 625020, India.
