Small habits, kept.

Habit Novice is a gentle coach for building habits that stick — a few at a time, at your pace. Start with three habits, not thirty; miss a day and restart without guilt; and get a coach that notices you drifting before you quit. No ads, no streak-shaming, no clutter.

What it does

Novice Mode

A three-habit cap while you are starting out, tiny targets, and a quiet Today screen. Graduate to Builder Mode when the first few have stuck.

A coach that pays attention

Weekly reports, lapse-recovery messages, a goal decomposer that turns “get fit” into three small habits, and a chat coach that knows your actual habits.

Log it your way

Tap, say it out loud (“did my walk, six glasses of water”), or let Apple Health and Health Connect fill in steps, distance, water and sleep for you.

Streaks that forgive

Freeze a day, take a planned pause, or switch on soft streaks that allow one miss a week. The streak is there to help, not to judge.

ADHD-friendly mode

Fewer, better-timed reminders, bigger targets, relative reminders like “after breakfast”, and restart prompts with no lecture.

Buddy Mode

Share a daily check-in summary with one friend and nudge each other along — counts and a rate, never your habit names or notes.

Built to respect you

  • No ads, no dark patterns, no guilt-trip notifications.
  • Try it without an account; add Google or Apple sign-in later to keep your progress across devices.
  • Health data is read on your phone for the habit you link it to — never written, never sold.
  • Voice check-in recognises speech on your device; nothing is recorded.
  • Delete your account and everything with it from inside the app, any time.
  • Calm, honest design and clear pricing.

Privacy at a glance

Habit Novice syncs your habits and check-ins to your account so they follow you between phones, and its coach sends the habits and check-ins you choose to use it with to a large-language model to write its replies. Health data stays on your phone except for the check-in value it produces. It sends anonymous usage and crash diagnostics so we can improve the app, and purchases are handled by Apple, Google and RevenueCat. We don’t sell your data or show ads.

Full details are in the Habit Novice Privacy Policy and its Terms of Use, which describe exactly what this app stores, what it sends, and what the coach can and cannot do. The company-wide Privacy Policy covers every LeafyOrb app. For help, see Support or email support@leafyorb.com.
