Extra-large mode gives you an 8 by 8 grid of huge, bold letters. Want more to hunt through? Switch to the classic 12 by 12 grid any time in Settings.

A new puzzle arrives every day, the same for everyone. Finish it for stars and a growing streak. Miss a day and a free weekly streak freeze covers you, with a same-day repair if it ever breaks. Your best streak is never lost.

Pick four to twelve words, like a grandchild’s name, a favourite place or a birthday, and share a link. They open it in the app and find your words in a big, clear grid. The puzzle lives inside the link, so we never see or store it.

Good to know

When can I get it?

Leafy Word Search is coming soon to Google Play and the App Store. This page will link to both stores on launch day.

Is it free?

Yes. Every puzzle is free to play, with two free hints a day. Leafy Plus is optional and adds unlimited hints.

Do I need an account or an internet connection?

No account is needed, and it works offline. Your progress, streak and settings stay on your device. On Android you can optionally sign in with Google to keep a backup that follows you to a new phone; you can delete it any time in Settings. Without signing in, deleting the app deletes your progress, so you can also save a backup code.

Are there ads?

There are no banners or pop-up ads, and there never will be. When you run out of free hints you can choose to watch a short video for one more. It is always your choice, and Plus or “remove ads” takes it away.

Which devices does it run on?

Android phones and tablets, and iPhone. Tablets get a roomier landscape layout on Android.

How do I make a puzzle for someone?

Open the Library, choose “Make a puzzle for someone”, type four to twelve words and share the link. They open it in the app. Nothing is sent to us.

What happens if I miss a day?

A free streak freeze, earned each week, covers a missed day. If a streak breaks, you can repair it the same day, and your best streak is never lost.
