This policy covers Leafy Word Search, a word search published by Leafy Orb. It sits alongside the LeafyOrb Privacy Policy; where the two differ for this app, this page governs.
1. Who we are
Leafy Word Search is published by Leafy Orb, 937/2, Maruthupandiar Street, Thasilthar Nagar, Madurai, Tamil Nadu 625020, India.
2. What stays on your device
The puzzles you have finished, your stars and badges, your streak, the puzzle you are part-way through, the puzzles you have made or been sent, and your settings are stored on the device, in the app’s own storage. They are not sent to us.
Deleting the app deletes all of it. There is no copy elsewhere to restore from, which is the trade for not having an account.
3. Puzzles you make and share
When you make a puzzle for someone, the title, the words and the name you type are packed into a link. If you share that link, anyone who has it can read those words, so share it only with people you know and do not put private information in a puzzle.
We do not receive, store or review the puzzle. The web page a link opens, leafyorb.com/p, reads the puzzle in your browser: the part of the link after the # sign is never sent to our server. Our host keeps ordinary technical logs of visits (such as the time and your network address), as any website does; the site sets no cookies and uses no trackers.
When you open a link someone sent you, the app checks it and saves the puzzle on your device. Nothing is sent back to the sender.
4. What leaves your device
Purchases, when they are offered. If you buy an upgrade, the purchase is handled by Apple or Google and validated by RevenueCat, who tell the app what you are entitled to. They receive a purchase receipt and an anonymous identifier the app generates. They do not receive your name or your email, because the app never asks for either.
Nothing else. This release sends no analytics, no crash reports and shows no ads. If that changes, for example if we add optional video ads that give you a hint, or anonymous usage and crash reports, this page changes first and the app will say so before the release that does it.
5. Reminders and read aloud
If you turn on a daily reminder, it is scheduled by your device’s own notification system. There is no push server and no device token: nothing about your reminder reaches us.
The Listen button and the option to read words aloud use the voice built into your phone. The words are spoken by your device and are not sent to us.
6. Children
Leafy Word Search is made for a general audience aged 13 and over and is not directed to children. It has no accounts, no chat and no public content: a puzzle reaches someone only if the person who made it sends them the link.
7. Your choices
You can turn reminders, sounds, read aloud and haptics off in Settings, or in your device’s own settings.
You can delete everything by deleting the app. Purchases are held by the store, not by us, so Restore Purchases brings back an upgrade on a new install.
8. Deleting your data
Everything Leafy Word Search keeps is on your device, so deleting the app deletes it permanently.
If you have made a purchase, RevenueCat holds the record of it against the anonymous identifier, so that it can be restored. To have that record deleted, email support@leafyorb.com with “deletion” in the subject and the order number from your store receipt, which is how the record can be found without a name. Records the law requires for tax and accounting are kept for as long as it requires, and are not linked to your name.
