The short version. play the game, buy what you like, and the etymology is offered in good faith.

These terms cover WordPith, a word game published by Leafy Orb. They sit alongside the LeafyOrb Terms of Service; where the two differ for this app, this page governs. The app shows the same text under Me → Terms.

1. The free game

One puzzle a day, the garden that grows from it, and a few endless rounds each day are free, with no advertising. We do not promise they will always be exactly this generous, but the daily puzzle itself is never behind a paywall.

2. WordPith+ and packs

WordPith+ is a subscription that renews until you cancel it in your store account. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current period. A pack bought outright stays bought.

Prices are shown by the store in your own currency before you confirm, and the store takes the payment. Refunds are the store’s to give, under Apple’s or Google’s policy, not ours.

Seeds are a one-off purchase and are spent as you use them. They are held on the device and are not restored on a new install.

3. The words

Etymologies are checked against Wiktionary, used under CC BY-SA 4.0, and the Online Etymology Dictionary. Clues and origin notes are written for WordPith.

Word origins are a field of live disagreement, and some of these are one reading among several. If you find something wrong, write to us and we will fix it in the next content update.

4. Fair use of the app

Do not try to extract the content in bulk, resell it, or pass it off as your own. Everything else — playing it, sharing your grid, teaching from it, arguing with it — is what it is for.

5. No warranty

WordPith is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be free of faults, and we are not liable for anything beyond the amount you paid for it.

6. Changes

These terms were last updated on 28 September 2026. If they change materially, the app will say so rather than leaving you to notice. Questions: support@leafyorb.com.
